Fitting Extra Gauges

A lot of people will say it's pointless fitting a vacuum gauge when running a weber and it probs is but mainly for show to be honest I take it all I need is vacuum supply ie from brake servo or from inlet
And what do I need to do when fitting a battery voltage gauge thanks
Is there another gauge worth running on a 1380 stage 4 engine (car is only a weekend toy/ track day car )

Oil Pressure or Oil Temperature?
Oil Pressure is the most important gauge in my opinion.

I have a Volt Meter on mine and its pretty useless to be honest. Didn't even help when my battery was dieing after last winter.
Also got a Vacuum gauge but again not alot of use. Just gives the passenger something to watch.

Rally cars tend not to have too many gauges as they don't get looked at very often when driving at 100%.
Most rally cars just have tacho, oil pressure, water temp, speed and possibly voltage. They also have a huge amber oil warning light coming on at c.20 psi. But rally cars do usually have some sort of trip-meter/rally computer, navigators clocks, power sockets and switches, fuel pump switches for the twin pumps, navigator's washer switch, map light and map light switches.
The driver's panel will normally have spot & fog light selector switches, heated screen switches & warning lights.
Without all those it is not really a 'rally dash'.

Another question is I have removed my bottom dash rail so the center switches are just loose you see you have 2 small spade connectors on the switch and then the main plug what are the 2 small shade connectors for as I'd like to change the switches aswell

Ive based mine on my own interpretation of a fast road/GT dash - Heuer stopwatches, Wipac map light (also have a Butlers for the passengers side, installing it next week), route card holder, Bradex fire extinguisher and a few other bits - Gauge wise I have dual vacuum gauges (running twin HS2's, one gauge for each carb) and oil pressure. Heres the dash last year (havnt got an up to date picture, now has triple Heuer clocks and the volt gauge shown has been swapped for the second vac gauge)

And my dash is the exact way I want it and to be honest the only way I can as I'm running a weber box so it suits we'll but I just fancied 2 extra gauges and my switches moved and changed to toggle switches
