The problem:

Alternator isn't charging the battery anymore and the starter motor is dead.

Solution:

Buy new ones.

Which ones from Minispares should I buy? I haven't got a clue which ones are the correct ones for my Mini.

The Mini is a 1990 Studio 2, 998 engine.

Links to the items would be amazing, thank you.

Are you sure the starter motor is not dead simply because the alternator is not charging the battery?

Maybe the battery is goosed and not accepting charge?

There are topics on how to test the charging system and trouble shooting in the FAQ section.

This could also be a symptom of failing battery earth or engine earth, or problems at the live terminal of the solenoid, where the alternator output wires join the battery feed. I would advise being VERY sure that both alternator and starter have failed before replacing them. The objective here is to save money.
