Got a chance to change the oil, filter (primed first), plugs etc yesterday all was fine initially, had a nice drive out with no warning light - until I almost got home then on it came again, light seems to dim a bit when revved more.

On to the next checks - wiring check then find a gauge to check the pressure.  Oil was clean, no gunk or mayo type sludge, no white or black smoke from exhaust and only the normal Mini drip present.

What a pain having to take the grill off though (especially with 4 spot/fogs)!

By the way its a 1275 unit

Wiring was ok, fitted new switch and a pressure gauge and now all seems good! Didnt help that I only finger tightened the nut at the gauge initially and had 30-40 psi then ended up with a shoe full of hot oil! After tightening properly, pressure was reading just under 60 psi - no light at the moment, fingers crossed that its solved the problem - thanks again for the advice guys.
