hello again.

ive reached yet another conundrum which I'm hoping you fellas can help with.

ive got a weber 45 DCOE and have purchased a K&N air filter. the weber does not have any ram pipes at the moment and i was wondering if they are worth the extra £40-£50? also which would be the best to go for and if "bolt-on" or "slot-in" are best?

cheers,

bear.

You definately want some form of a radius into the carb throat. Any rampipe should be of benefit.

Phil.

Its easier to install and it reduces air leaks compared to the push on type

Edit:
When used with filters

We run open filters on all of our race cars and use the slide in type of ram pipes and have never had any issues, but since you have a filter, it may be different

Sorry was unclear, what I meant is that we don't run filters purely as they aren't used on the road and they've been set up without them for maximum power
