Carb Adjustment/mixture Nut

Best Answer jime17 , 09 April 2014 - 06:29 PM

I use a 17mm short spanner from the off side on a hs4.

I can only usually adjust half a flat before turning the spanner over. Go to the full post

I'm trying to set my mixture to get my car restarted, it has been running rich and now won't start at all.

When I was trying I turned the wrong way and it went right to the top, I should point out that I managed this by hand, not with a spanner

But now I need to back it off I can't turn it by hand but also can't seem to get a spanner in there to turn it. I have got one of the tiny spanners that minispares sell for carb adjustment but this is too small

Any suggestions?

Yes you are quite correct and I wouldn't normally but I don't have a short enough 11/16.

i always have a guilty look over my shoulder before using it ;-)
