Cbr 1000

hi all,

just wondering would a cbr 1000 engine be the same to fit as an R1? because this is a lot cheaper option:)

please tell me thoughts and if its worth it or not, also can it be front wheel drive?

AFAIK the mounts are different but power output etc is the same :)

sweet what about puting the drive to the shafts how would tis be done mate same little gear box thingy?

You have a few options, it depends where the engine will be positioned

 

Front engine, front wheel drive, fitting a chain via a diff(trike style)

Front engine, rear wheel drive( weld a shortened seirra prop to the chain sprocket)

 

Rear engine  ( again running a trike style diff)

okay mate thanks if i was to go ahead id go front wheel drive to keep the corner handling!
