Hello I'm about to referb some 10x6 wheels for the rear end of my mini to add more stance ;P
Any opinions on tapered wheel bearings are they worth the change it's for my every day driver
Standard bearings on the rear currently
Brand new
Still keeping 10x5 on the front

Use genuine Timken bearings.

I'd be more concerned that you are mixing wheel widths. Not advisable.

Just having 10x5 on front and 10x6 on the rear
It's nothing major just will look abit better

I wouldn't worry about running wheels with an extra inch width in either wheel bearings or handling to be honest. 

I run 10x6 but mine had a huge offset and sit more like 10x7s, not had any issues with wheel bearings in over 4000 miles driving daily

I can actually hear the sound of the 'experts' turning their nose up! Haha.
