Hi, Anyone know if if its possible to fit a manual rod change engine/gearbox into a 1972 auto, ive been told its not as the transmission tunnel is not big enough? any advice welcomed. Thanks Martin.

yes you can but modifications will be needed to convert the transmission tunnel (there might be a plate covering up a suitable hole but that might be wrong?), you will need a manual front subframe though or auto to manual conversion mounts. If you do a search there's loads of topics and I think I saw a step by step guide once
you could use a pre rod change gear box though without shell mods

You need
Clutch master
Clutch slave
Engine and box
And auto to manual engine mount kit comes with spacer plates just need to elongate a few holes on one side
And drill new holes for the mounts (very easy)
Gear selector
And a clutch pedal with spring
Alot of people say you need a full pedal box but you dont
Pipe work from clucth slave and master

yes but a 72 isnt rod change^. Not unless its a log book special anyway!
