So I've just bought my first mini! (We pick her up later this week!) It's a thirty and we went went to see her we realised how perfect she was!
Shes had 1 old lady owner from new and she has been kept in a garage from new so is 100% rust free and also 100% original!

Since researching a bit more we think we've stumbled upon a gem of a car! She is totally original with wads of history (including the original bill of sale and all MOTs) nothing has been changed or modified! And to top it all off, she is one of the only 200 mini 30s with a factory fitted sunroof! :D

She needs a bit of tweeking to get her running totally smooth but my dad used to race minis back in the day, so he's more that qualified to do that! :)

What do you think? Is she as rare as we think she is?! (We love her anyway but would be cool!)

:-0 that looks fantastic. Did well to find that. Mini 30s are not especially rare but they are rare in that condition and are only going to go down in numbers as some go to the great scrap heap in the sky or are modified.

is the inside as good as the outside looks?

Perfect inside, the lady had carpets over the original ones so they don't look like they've ever been trodden on! :)

Enjoy!! oh and welcome along! :-)

That seems like a good price to me! There are a load of mini's about that have been repaired again and again (some badly) that go for that sort of money and more so well done!

It's not everyday that a gem like this comes up.

I remember a auction company last year that were selling a few Mini's that were un-registered and had been stored since being built with just a few miles on the clock. They were up for MEGA money though!! I think one of them was a 30. i know one was a 25th anniversary as that's what i have and how i found the site

Welcome and congratulations. The Mini 30 is considered to be one of the very best limited editions Minis produced. You must keep it as original as possible. The Mini 30 was also the basis for the Cooper RSP. When the Mini Cooper was revived in 1990 after 19 years absence the 30 had the qualities appropriate for a special edition Cooper.

I have recently bought my first mini...just like you, the Thirty! And also one of the 200 with a standard sunroof :)

In my opinion absolutely one of the best minis out there...especially looking at all the things that come as standard with it. I got mine for 1700 and spent 1500 getting it back to perfect as there were a few rusty problems. Just finished now and so happy with the result :)

Hoipe yours continues to make you as happy as mine makes me...and il look out for you at the shows ;)

The 30 is my favorite limited edition and that looks to be an absolute gem!

It was a close run thing when I came back to minis whether to buy a 30 or the Mk1 that I'd always wanted. The Mk1 won in the end. If I had the garage space I'd look for a 30 as well.

Enjoy but do keep it standard!

Looks wonderful! The 30 is up there among my favourite LE minis. I was always slightly jealous of a work colleague who got one as her company car in the late nineties for scooting around London in, while I was stuck with a knackered old Fiesta that drank 5L of oil every 200 miles :)

Hope to see you out and about around Surrey!
