What width and offset wheel should I be looking at to run archless?

Some example wheels and set ups would help thanks (10" wheels only)

Standard Cooper 'S' offset on 4.5" wide with normal 'S' spacered drums on the rear.

The size is as Mini Spares part number C-21A1968.

What about 5" wide such as D1s?

I think the D1 has approximately 1" greater datum offset, so an arch extension  will be needed. Never seen D1's without arch extensions.

You need the same offset as the original Mk.1 Cooper 'S' steel 3.5" or 4.5" wheel. The D1 has what used to be called 'reverse rim' offset and they could be used on the 850 with drum brakes.

Yes, it looks like it.

I have a set of 5" BWA alloys as well as Minilites for my 1964 'S' and without arch extensions they are 'borderline legal'. Here it is with the BWA's on and 165/70 x 10 tyres in action at night.
