So I need to get this air temperature control box for my mini! I have to use a lot of choke to get her warm! Which in return is costing me more on fuel and isn't great for my car! Can anyone help source this part, I have found a couple but they are very expense, £25!! Failing that recommend an alternative that will work just as well

They dont tend to work all that well if the heat sensing spring inside is old (its a service item) and I dont know if you can get that part any longer

Incidentally I am running without one on my 998 and I only need a little choke to start, I would ensure the choke is set up correctly so the first portion of it operates the fast idle cam then enrichens the mix

Also check your thermostat. If you're running a 78 or 82, try an 88.

Okay guys thanks and yes ToM 2012 if you could look that would be great! Would a k&n pancake filter or cone filter work any better than my original round box?

The standard airbox is better for performance than both the alternatives mentioned, how that affects cold starting i dont know, I doubt it will help however!
