Okay I am seriously thinking of returning from the Dark-side......I have a K-series 1.8vvc

 

AND

 

 part of me wants to come back  ( so does me missus ).

 

So I am seriously looking for something...........HATE USING THIS PHRASE .......DIFFERENT !......... can't believe I said that, 

 

Budget obviously on depends a lot on what I get for the Special K      but I really need it to  be a running restoration project.

 

Something I can get in and use as a daily BUT would really benefit from some TLC.

 

DON'T CARE WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE AS LONG AS IT'S  SOLID     looks are not high on my priority list.

 

So what's out there???

 

Suppose If I had to be brave and put up a price that I am willing to spend it would be 1000 - 1500 MAX but hey that depends on the work needed and wen I sell the K.

 

And I must admit I am a closet clubbie man and soooooo love Russet??

Well I obviously wrote this badly OR there aint nothing out there, would have thought that £1500 wold have brought up some interest ???

Stick with the K series mate.

 

Mine's far better to drive than an A series. More power, better handling and more MPG. What's the issue?

There is no real issue bud, always wanted a k series, so managed to get a 1.4.......      absolutely brilliant BUT managed to f**k the head gasket     so      whilst I was in  A GOOD MOOD THOUGHT IT WAS TIME TO UPGRADE to a 1.8vvc.

Been really poorly last 3 or 4 months so lost interest ,motivation , finances not too good as not working, and lost a bit of mobility.

I am almost on the mend now    BUT     now it's 95% done      IT AIN'T what I thought it would be.

Guess all my convalescing time has been spent looking at too many mags and for some reason I am just being drawn back to A series WHY I don't know just seem to be being seduced by  IMAGES OF BROWN Clubbies.......Doesn't make me bad    just another crossroads to choose change of direction.

Absolutely LOVE K_SERIES conversions  AND value for money, performance ,availability  etc etc etc are all second to none.

HOWEVER

If I could afford another motor ie running restoration AS WELL AS THE K I would but don't think I can.........

Well it just so happens, this was my second car.

 

 

 

A genuine 1275GT. Spent a fortune on this car only for it to catch fire in the engine bay. I managed to savage the engine and box and fit it into a roundnose Mini.

 

It's long gone to the scrappy. The things you do when you're young eh?
