i need to take the dashpot off to see what needle i have and it has some funky headed bolts keeping it on.
 

any one know whats the correct tool for it?

My metro has the a screw head on the dash pot any photos?

Yeah it's 'because it's a Turbo. They are just some variety of security (aka anti tamper screw), you should find something on ebay or Farnells/Rapid etc - more common on electrical stuff.

 

I think I just nipped mine with pliers, they're a whitworth thread if you want to replace them.

cut a slot in em with a junior hacksaw/dremmel type thing then use a screwdriver.
