I have just fitted genuine sportspack wheels and arches to my 1998 MPI cooper. The back wheels look over arched though. Did the sportspack have different drums\spacers as standard?
Sportspack conversion..

I wouldn't have thought so. Certainly the drums are the same as later disc equipped minis.

The rear of the genuine Sportspack uses a 6mm spacer in addition to the standard spacer drums. Longer studs are also required.

Exactally as Dan Says.. plus the sportspack wheels are wider.

Just wondering if using those 'mini superfins' at the rear bring out the wheels by a lot as I have the sportspack wheels that arches also!?

Mini Fins are the same dimensions as standard regular drums and Super Mini Fins are the same dimensions as standard spacer drums.

Ah that would explain varying prices of these drums!

the varing price is usually in the varying quality. Most of the ones I've seen are all with the integrated spacers. Thats cheap versions AND the proper minifins.

Sorry to be a pain but I have called Minispares and asked for the 6mm spacer and long studs after explaining what I want to do and they say the the sportspack would have the same setup on the back as my 98 cooper??
Anyone know if this is the case? I know the drums I have look like there is a spacer built in.
Thanks
Adam
