One is a genuine Rover plunger and the other is a Minispares non-genuine version.
Both are correct for the pre-verto clutch set-up.

One has the type with a clip for the releae bearing and the other is plain shaft

If in the build you lapped the flywheel to the crank, with wok off check that the flywheel hasn't crept up the taper causing contact with the housing around the thrust bearing
