I'm going to replace my leaky rocker cover gasket, I have Hylomar Universal Blue, don't know if its good or bad?

 

What sealant do you guys use for it??

 

I'm also considering converting to a rubber gasket, any thoughts on that?

none on rocker cover

Stick the gasket to the cover with RTV. Sit it back on the head to allow the RTV to set - not bolted down.
Once set smear the face of the gasket with grease and fit as normal, rocker cover nuts just nipped.

By rubber I guess you mean a silicone one? Not had any experience but they will obviously better if you will be taking your rocker cover off often... depending on the thickness it may give a better seal too as you could tighten the rocker cover down more onto it. Mine has the standard cork one, which I think needs replacing as it doesn't look like it's seated particularly well and I have oil stains next to it...

 

I haven't used any sealant on my rocker cover seal, not sure if it has any on it I haven't checked but for everything else I use abro sealant. I have both the normal and high temperature stuff. The high temp isn't particularly necessary but I have it anyway
