Hi -i have had a new selector shaft machined to replace the original one that had become bent due to an impact from previous owner. The probelm is, i also added a new KAD quick shifter, and put the new gear selector shaft in as well, and now it will not stay engaged in 2nd or 4th gear?
My guess is the selector rod pin-to-pin distance is not quite the same-probably just a single mm in it?

Note: there is no rubber boot at the selector pin, which apparently can cause this. The gearbox was fine with the old selector shaft and shifter when i bought it, except for the play in the shifter.

Id like to get an accurate center-to-center measurement of a known straight selector shaft if someone hasone lying around so i can check mine.
Also keen to hear any other thoughts on this problem?
