My mantra for my future Mini is "a baby Roller" with all the amenities and luxuries one wouldn't reasonably expect from a car of this vintage. I won't do the work myself because when I try, crying happens afterwards. Wood & Pickett are bound to be extremely pricey, but I'm planning to save up for a good while until I can get a perfect custom car tailored to my (weird) tastes. Their website is not terribly helpful; they seem to be based in Leatherhead which isn't too far from my UK address, but I'm wondering if the sort of complete work they used to do is still possible? Anybody have any experience with them? For instance, I must have their beautiful dashboard: is it still available?

I presume after bringing them a perfect base vehicle I'll be looking at well into five figures for everything I want...

Instead of asking on here, why not just ring up and ask them?

They're just down the road from me i go in occasionally for parts. They still do rebuilds but not to their old coachbuilder standards.

If Wood and Pickett don't or are not up to there old standards you could try a company called Zeemax based somewhere in Norfolk. I will post a link if I can find it

THey do.  They usually have a stand at Goodwood.  Amazing quality but obviously at a price.  Pretty reasonable though.

If you contact W&P just ask for Mike Standring the current owner......I have known him for over 30 years in the world of Mini's and he used to race Mini Miglias with my brother. I believe he can still carry out and source most of the specialist W&P features like the famous 'Margrave' dashboard or restorations if required but most of his business these days comes from the more general Mini parts, restorations, servicing and spares along with the various W&P branded items sold online and at Mini shows.

This was the dash in the Margrave 50 produced in celebration of the Mini's 50th birthday:

As far as I know, they do not sell the Margrave 50 anymore as they just weren't cost effective to build anymore. I think they now just do general restorations and spares etc

I was under the impression they only intended to make 50 margrave 50s for the 50th anniversary. £27 grand each....

I'm sure if you have the money they will do whatever you want.

There is a Wood and Pickett group on FB in which there are a few active members who regularly post up pics of old coach built minis.
