Don't know about anyone else on this site but my Mini is only driven during the summer and locked away in the garage in the winter. This meant either having to get the battery out and keeping it on charge etc, or just let it go flat and jump start it/charge when I needed to tick it over/roll it back and forth. Right faff. Always had the pain in the backside day of getting it sorted just to get her out in the Spring for the MOT and back on the road. Last year I treated myself to a CTEK MXS 3.6 battery charger. Best money spent ever. No need to remove the battery (a hassle in itself), just clamp on, plug in and leave it to trickle charge the battery. Started perfectly right the way through the winter. Such a relief to be able to pop out in the wind and rain, jump in, start it, leave it for a few minutes and then go back in the house. Absolute gem. Just thought I'd recommend it as it really is a great little piece of kit if you were thinking about it.

Ive got a CTEK as well, not sure which model it is, came free with a magazine subscription. Very good!

Yep love my ctek 5.0

The battery when I first bought my civic was terrible even after doing a long trip. Bought the ctek, put it on recon mode and it's never let me down like 6 months on and the civic is not used regularly either.
