Today in the lovely sunshine i worked on my exhaust because it was blowing. whilst under the car, i saw that my battery cable was very close to shorting out on the sub frame, so i fixed that with a new battery cable.
Any who, i had myself a little day dream whilst lying under my car (mainly about a z-cars vtec kit) and my woundering eyes chanced upon this.
Havnt a clue what its doing, its a split pin just dangling from a hole at the bottom of the bell housing. Its not attached to any thing, must be there from another bodged job that my mini man did
The looking around again, i saw this,
After a little prodding, i decided to investigate further. And pulling the carpets up confirmed that it was quite a sizable crack!
But also with pulling the carpets up, i saw this,
Yep, that the floor above my jacking point just giving up the good fight. Its the same on the other side :'(
I havnt looked above my rear jacking points yet, it might be just too much heartbreak!
Anyway, to the point of this post. Im going to get a few quotes for some new floor panels (fitting inc.) tomorrow. Any ideas on prices????
Again, sorry about the sizes
Fixed three things.....Found three other things wrong!!!!

the jacking point you are talking about isn't actually a jacking point at all!!

clutch housing with the split pin is supposed to be that way. Don't panic on that one!

the metal plate is just there for strengthening and spreading the load

eeerm yeah. Its a vent for the clutch housing. The split pin just wont allow any crud to get in. It acts as a "plug".

all depends on how bad it is.
Look at "minisprockets" "general overhaul" thread for what it can be like!!

If there is no rot in the floor, just beat it back to shape with a hammer and dolly, no need to replace it, its very very common miss understanding that the factory slinging bracket is a jacking point, using as such always results in the front floor deforming, the rear floor does not suffer the same due to the bins in the rear giving extra suport.
The toe board however will require welding. If there is rust there it will need cutting out and replacing. If its just cracked it can be welded along the crack, but, to stop it from going any further you will need to find the ends of every crack and drill a small hole to stop it, then weld the lot up. New toe boards cost about £40 but looks like it could be A PITA to fit as it needs to be perfectly aligned.
I found out why mine went. Where the toe board overlaps underneath the floor pan, there is a void between the panels. Water gets between these and rots it from the inside. The forces put on that area by the subframe does the rest
