Hi everyone, if you have a non a series or a really heavily modified a series (twin cam etc) mini and want to show it at Beaulieu you need to get in touch with me. all details are below:

I’m a member of Hampshire Mini Cooper Register, who organise Beaulieu every year. I foolishly told them that Beaulieu is regarded by some as a bit stuffy and in need of modernising.

The end result is that I have been asked to run a new type of stand. At Beaulieu a large fenced off area is reserved for the best cars of the day, traditionally this area is full of immaculate coopers from the 60's and very fancy machinery.

I now have 20 spaces in this area to showcase the best and most original NON A series engine minis. I'm determined to make this the most exciting area with hundreds of visitors. It is often a criticism of the Beaulieu show that people park up the cars and go off leaving no one there to answer any questions. I would like this stand to be different and to get a reputation for being the place to go to find out how to modify their minis.

My plan is that I will be on the stand all day (I like talking) and I would ask that you make yourself available for an hour in the day just in case anyone wants some advice. If someone takes an interest in your car we will ask them to come back when you are due to be around.

If you are still interested in joining us contact me on the below email

I am afraid I cant put my car on the stand, I have an innocenti with a 1275 a series but i do have my eye on a lancia delta engineed mini, we will see.......

Regards

...and yet it's one of the best and biggest mini shows on the calender which gets bigger every year, they can't be doing that much wrong!

If you organised the modified stand - well done you, there was a fantastic mouth watering collection on show, didn't get to look at them all in detail but did get a few snaps.

Even though there were loads of shiny, polished ones, this was my favourite:
