Hi,

I've been looking into fibreglass/carbon fibre panels to replace my rusty ones. How would you go about attaching a carbon fibre rear valance, and a-panels?

What are peoples thoughts on using carbon fibre instead of steel-heritage one?

Thanks

My rear balance is carbon fibre.
I changed it primarily because they are water catchers.. I just made some brackets up and located them using stainless steel button head bolts, that way I can position it perfectly. The bolts can be seen on the outside st all as they come from the boot. Checking the other day, and still looks clean and tidy behind the valance. :)

replacing steel panels with fibreglass could lead you into identity problems and cause you to have to pass a IVA test and re-register the car , i think i have seen 3 topics about this today

the other thing that might cause problems is the MOT test as the tester could say that the fibreglass panels are a unsuitable repair , both the rear valance and A panels are with in 30cm of suspension and subframes
