I'm just learning to drive and I've recently bought a 1987 Austin mini city e, as a first car.
It's all mechanically sound just a bit rough on the interior and bodywork, I've been tidying it up but need a few things and was wondering if you could point me in the right direction for some sound proofing and two new wings, I haven't got much money left so I'm trying to keep everything as cheap as possible, thanks guys!

http://www.minispares.com/default.aspx

http://minisport.co.uk/

www.somerford-mini.co.uk

www.minispares-online.co.uk

www.bullmotifminispares.com

www.plmini.com/parts.htm

I have used most of these companies and can say that they have been good to me. some are better than other with price, but all stock the same parts (those that are common). some sell different parts also.

somerford mini spares are good for body panels.

I would advise also if you are getting wings that you buy genuine as some of the non genuine parts don't fit correctly and can give you a massive headache.

hope this helps,

Macauley.

Josh,

If you take out a subscription for The Mini Forum costs £5 per year you become a TMF+ member and you can then get discounts a a lot of places! have a look on the forum menu and you will see a list. As an example as a TMF+ member you will get a 7.5% die count from Mini Spares. After you have signed up and got your membership number contact Simon on here who works at Mini Spares and he will sort the discount out on your Mini Spares account.

By the way welcome, post some pics of the mini and good luck with your lessons and restoration.
