I have purchased a 1970 Morris Mini and am picking it up on Saturday - I am however confused about which model it is.

 

The V5 states "Morris Mini 1000 saloon 1970 historic vehicle 1275".

 

All the insurance companies state that its a Cooper or a Cooper S.

 

Does anyone have any info on Morris models?

If it was a Cooper or a Cooper S it would say so on the V5.

 

Chances are that it originally was an 850 or 1000 and a previous owner has replaced the engine with a 1275 unit.

 

Being a 1970 chances are that it's a Mk3. if it's got wind up windows & internal door hinges then it's definatly a Mk3.

looks like you are correct - its definitely a mk3

if its a mk3 S it will have twin tanks and a boot board and disks up front.
