Hi all,
I've a got a 2000 cooper. I reversed the car out of the garage and saw a lot of droplets and a large circle stain on the floor where coolant had leaked for at least a week. Looking under the car with the engine on however, the coolant was literally flowing out from underneath into a drop tray I managed to salvage.
Now with the car sitting in garage the coolant is dripping slowly and it looks like it's coming from the sump although I'm not sure whether it's running down the sump then dripping off or whether it is actually coming from what looks like a seal on the sump.

Sorry for the complicated explanation! Just wondering if anyone had any ideas what it could be? by the way the coolant tank is now pretty much empty.
Cheers,Ben

its most likely coming from one of the hoses if its done it whilst just sitting there and not hot. not going to be coming from the sump, at least not without oil as well!

Its a case of just getting down and dirty and having a look, put more water in in needed and look for a leak

edit: worth checking the water pump if the hoses check out ok
