Looks like you have a period 1960's Helphos windscreen searchlight included!

Nice mini M&P, it is identical to my first car ( mini ) i bought when i passed my test in 1977, i bought mine from an old chap in the next village who advertised it in our local rag as...... a MK1 Austin Mini 850, needs sorting but well shod !!!
I managed to secure it for £75.00 and used it for the next 12 months in the same condition as i bought it.
It leaked like a sieve and on very wet days with three passengers on board i had to tell the two in the back to lift their feet up as we are about to go uphill, the tidal wave crashed over the box section in the back and then drained away again when we descended.
The green light on the end of the indicator stalk cracked me up when i used it and the gearchange was a total lottery, i wish i still had it though.
Do bring it back to its former glory and post your rebuild pics on here......... good luck.

thank you, we hope to bring it back to former glory but for the moment its just being kept dry! The floor is a complete rot box but so far most of the box section looks pretty strong. We are just waiting till we have a bit more time and some funds to get started but we can't wait

I'm starting to come round to that idea although Mrs M&P still needs a bit of convincing. Might just have to sign up to one of those Shifty master class sessions and crack on
