Does anyone else out there want to strangle that stupid Bernie guy on this show? Just trying to watch the deLorean episode but his constant, over the top pretend outrage at everything is driving me mad!! Channel 5, any chance you could get a decent presenter instead of one that's constantly shouting, moaning and acting up to the cameras? If that's his attitude to restoring classic cars, he's in the wrong job.

100% with you on this, I can't watch the programme any more. It's always this disaster or that disaster but surprise surprise it all turns out right at the end. Utter nonsense!
I know that the brewer/china team can be a tad predictable too, but at least we see something happen and don'forget there is always ed's top tip to look out for :).

Have you spotted the disclaimer at the beginning? Something like 'events are engineered for entertainment purposes'. Says it all.

i think Bernie wants to do it all right and not scrimp and save. that mario is a tight bugger why would you put a jeep rad in rather then the proper one? still had to pay out in the end for a new proper one.

I don't think Bernie would know 'right and proper' if it slapped him in the face!

it's all completely faked for effect, and badly faked at that.

does seem that it's all set up for entertainment rather than a restoration programme. For the love of cars had the right idea in that they seem more genuine and focused on the history of the cars etc. Of course the mini being the best one so far, there was a genuine love from the two blokes! For some reason it seems any sane person just loves the old mini! Even young kids today who didn't grow up knowing the mini love em!

I watched the first series an only seen a couple of this series. The program is a joke. The narrator gets on my nerves as well saying things like "welded solid".
Its clearly a entertainment show and not for car enthusiasts. I'm suprised Adrian flux would want to sponser that shambles.
