You'd find it very hard to relay it as it comes off in chunks.

I would replace it with something more effective, Silent Coat.

If you're not bothered about noise, just leave it bare.

It catches on fire pretty quickly when you start welding the floor. I removed most of mine but left it on the rear seat base; then set fire to it  :shy:

Remove completely (big weight saving) then use a decent sound proofing product of your choice (its what you can afford to fit)

Having tried to sound proof a mini in the past, I wouldn't bother now. Its a pain, costs money and goes from loud to slightly less loud.

Spraying on liberal coats of stonechip on my new floor (both sides) hopefully this will shush things down a bit. Quick to apply, looks good and hides a multitude of sins. If it dosent reduce road noise then I'll simply turn up the metallica! ;0)

Thinners works well or even white spirit or as a last resort petrol ( I'm not recommending it )
Make sure the area your working in is well ventilated

I tried the white spirit and it worked well. I put a good bit on left for an hour to soak in then got the wire brush on the drill and it comes off.

Thanks

I'm going to be replacing mine with something as close to the original stuff as possible.

Don't care about the weight or anything like that, just want it to look factory.

So i guess it's down to personal preference.
