Well I came across this today, via a friend who lives in Colombia. Its an interesting read, and I would be interested to know the validity behind it.

I checked out a couple of the sites they claim in the article and it certainly looks like thousands of cars being stored, but for what purpose I have no idea. It wouldn't really surprise me if these are all just unsold that they can do nothing with.

They claim there is no solution to this ongoing problem. Has our technical capability grown at too fast a rate? The article estimates that there are 10 billion serviceable cars in the world...a lot more than the number of people!

I am fully aware that 90% of the stuff on FB and the like is utter rubbish. This article will also be greatly exaggerated. But I also believe there are some examples of this. And when you think about it, its not really that surprising.

Did you actually read all of the article though?

I couldn't find the Swindon one. But I did find the US one in Maryland and the one in Sheerness.

Regardless of the validity of this article, it would be interesting to know how many serviceable cars there are in the world, how quickly they are producing new ones and how many don't get sold.

I will be interested to read the article that shows the flaws.

Having read that, it does seem a bit stretched to say the least, which isn't really a surprise. I would still like to know the number of cars produced versus sold and who the hell is buying these new cars?!
