If you are of a certain age late 40's + do you remember a TV drama featuring a classic mini. I think it was about a house wife that goes to an car mechanics evening class and is befriended by the lecturer and they build a mini to race?

The race Mini featured was actually owned and driven by Peter Baldwin who still races in Mini Miglias.

Yep, I remember that, Ive actually got the novel of the TV show! 

 

There's another show lost in the mists of time from the 80's that I cant quite recollect - about a guy attempting to go rallying / rallycrossing, featured a Metro, possibly a 6R4? and problems financing the sport with sponsorship????? Someone will know of it hopefully!

Oops sorry didn't think it was as late as mid 80's, that's what happens when you get to your late 40's - let that be a lesson to you d;-)
