Hello all, proud owner of our first mini, a 1989 "Racing Green"

In pretty good nick and just about totally unmolested, although the steel wheels and plastic wheel trims (one missing if anyone knows the whereabouts of any?)May get replaced, we will keep the steels and trims in the interests of maintaining originality

Off to the tech forums to post a load of questions!

Ah, apparently cant ask stuff yet!   so, as I can here,

would like a rough idea of a standard 1988 minis tank range?

7.5 Gallon tank x 40 mpg = 300 miles

Does 40 mpg sound about right for you 998 lot out there?

Edit: Didn't see the date of the original question,

Looking good on minilites! and not too cliché considering they were a factory option.

Currently in dock, having various paintwork blemishes n dings sorted out, which has turned into a re spray.....
Storage over the Winter killed the battery, so a new 75 will be bought tomorrow as I understand these fit in the box.
The dizzy proved impossible to keep in tune, so an accuspark contact less one went in, that with new leads and plugs ( the old ones looked to be origional) has unleashed the whole, um, what is it? 35 horses, still enough to get into trouble...
