Does any one know where to buy this nut, and do you know what thread it is? Thanks in advance for any information. Alan

I've got quite a few wiper parts in the garage, has that snapped off the motor?

The reason I want this information is, it's for a mechanic that works at p&l mini spares and he told me this part can no longer be bought from anywhere, So he is making his own pipe with flares but don't know where to buy the nuts so I said if he could not buy them I would make some for him on my lath but don't know what the thread is.

Lucas 14W wiper motors are very commonly available and loads of kit car, classic car and auto electrical suppliers have complete systems or parts on the shelf. Holden Vintage and Classic is just one of many such companies, they have the ferrule by itself, the nut by itself and the nut on some tube with one end flared, all listed as parts, or complete 2 or 3 arm wiper kits if you need. These can't really become obsolete as they were fitted to hundreds of different models and I believe are still fitted to some new cars today. I believe it's true that you can't now buy the pipes pre made or bent to the right lengths for Mini but that's true of most cars, these systems are universal and cutting the bundy tubes is quite normal.
