Im trying to get my minin clubman started but its running for a about 5 seconds then cutting out out iv put the engine in myself everything is as it should I dont have the exhaust on only down pipes if that plays a part any ideas

Fuel problem probably. Got enough in the tank? No fuel lines blocked?

Does it start easily after it has cut out?

I think it is down to fuel the pump is working tho dont know where to start

Does the tank have to be fuel or I put a jerry cans worth in n there is deffo fueal getting to the carb but im not sure f 8ts getting through from there

I would check the float valve. Can you located the bowl on the carb? ( the bowl where the fuel line goes to) You can unscrew it with 3 screws. 

Unscrew the lid and check the float for any dirt etc. If it looks clean and moves freely I would disconnect the coil and let the engine spin over on starter motor to see if the pump works well. Another option would be to fill the float bowl and check if the engine runs longer.
