Ok, you are going to see a couple posts from me in a row. Sorry. Here is the first.

I recently posted that I installed my new Calver ST head on my 94 SPi. Brilliant!! I was up till 4:30am getting it ready for a parade the Mini was to be in. I was able to test the car before and everything looked good.

Now, parades are terrible for cars. I know that but its the one time I can have my daughter in the car with me so its very special to me. The absolute snails pass and the added 90 degree weather will test every car to its limits....and I hit those limits. About half way through, the car started to heat up. Usually my car is perfect.

Very long story short, I pulled over, just nearly in the red, popped the bonnet to see if my aux fan was working and the damn blades were completely gone!!!! Like, the entire yellow blade assembly had fallen off the shaft. I couldnt believe it!

So, does anyone have a source for a stock SPi aux fan? I really want to keep it stock if I can as its been wonderfully efficient...until this of course. Even just the blades if thats possible.

Thanks! In the US but fully understand shipping cost.

VERY interesting! I actually found one on the sales forum (I didnt even know that it existed. haha). Its on its way to the states, and for a great price.

So, I have two SPi's in the family. My 94 and my brothers 95 Si. I had an accident eons ago and it broke 2 of the mounting tabs on my fan. Since my brother left his car here and moved away, I swapped them as his was not broken and I was going to come up with a nifty fix for my broken one. I ended up using zip-ties in a rush and they hold great BUT hardly a fix and he wasnt too pleased:-) Most of the parts on his car are WAY more beat then mine. His was the fan that I had mounted that went missing.

Now that I have another one on its way, I am going to see about making two perfect ones out of the one with broken tabs, one with missing fan, and new one on its way!! Sweet.
