We have owned the mini since 2005 buying it as a daily driver. It then went in the garage for around 4 years and had new wings, a panels, front panel scuttle repairs, sills, rear valance and boot floor and one of the food wells was also done. it is showing some signs of wear now, but really would be a fantastic little car given a couple of weekends worth of work. This is a reluctant sale, and I know exactly how much the car will break for given the wheels, tyres seats etc. However I would much prefer the car to go to someone who will have the time to get it back to the standard it should be, and drive it, as it should be.

Restoration 2 years ago, lots of paper work including some old mots etc

998 with only 35k on the clock, original engine, recent replaced points, dizzy cap, alternator, belts, plugs and leads, fuel pipes, coil pack
Straight through 2 centre exit exhaust with k and n style filter and titan motor sport water cooled inlet manifold.

Paint in old English white with matt black roof
Carbon wrapped arches
Genuine 13x8 alley cats with slightly stretched tyres (all with great tread)
Genuine Lucas 3 spot lamps and curved bar
Angel eye headlights with plastic, rot free bowls
Hi lo suspension all round, including Monroe shockers that were changed around 2000 miles ago

Cobra Monaco bucket seats and 4 point harnesses
Mountery steering wheel
Custom ash tray digital clock, including led lights for dash clocks.
Custom dash including cd player. Centre console with 12v port wired in and gearstick/handbrake gaiter.
Under seat speakers, including in rear door bins
Black carpet set and underlay
Sump guard and twin pitch horns

There is probably more and more on the car that I have forgotten so ill add as and when I remember.

Really would be a fantastic car for someone with a couple of weekends spare to get it back on the road. But due to moving house and not having space or time its a reluctant sale.

There are, as with every car, some bad points
Some of the paint is showing signs of rust, mainly on the doors (may require a little welding where the frame meets the skin)and around the rear screen.
Paint could do with flatting back and having a good polish
We could never get the timing sorted, engine turns and runs but just never got it running sweet.
Will probably require a new battery as we have been jumping it off to get started, not been start for a month or so now though.
some welding splatter to drivers side of windscreen.

Last time we had it started there seemed to be a problem with the clutch, or gearbox, just wouldnt engage, not sure if something has seized as the car has been stood for about a year now.
I have a box of spares to go with this car, all my mini stuff will go with the sale including some cool old workshop manuals and binders.

The mini is located in York and can be viewed by appointment

The car has NO MOT OR TAX, it is currently SORN and as a result will need to be trailered away

I am looking for £1500, no offers.

You can reach me on 07809478728 if you need any more info or I can send you more pictures of particulars you would like to see.

Many thanks for taking the time to read the ad, hopefully there will be some interest, its way too good to break.

Ollie.

More photos of the rust please, especially around the roof as that could be bad.

Thanks

Photos of rust as requested. I must stress the roof itself is in great shape with no rot what so ever. The rust is merely surface and with a good rub down, treat and paint will be fine for years to come.

Sorry but thats more than surface rust, that will eventually need replacing. Looking at all the stuff, lack of mot etc, i think you will seriously struggle to achieve that amout based on whats for sale on other forums, ebay etc.

Breaking a car could be an option to recover the most funds, but because a car may break for x amount, doesnt mean its worth x amount complete. Breaking takes your time and you are always left with something left over that no body wants.

I was going to message to view tomorrow as im in yorkshire, but now ive seen further pictures, its not for me im afraid.

Hope you find this helpful, GLWS.

Jordie

Thats fair enough mate. i have put it on for offers around that price. Ideally i would like £2,000 taking into account whats for sale on here, ebay and in mini world etc.

Anyone is welcome to come and view, pictures are good but nothing replaces coming to have a look at the car in person.

I appreciate that the door will either need welding and painting, but the rear end would be fine with a strip, treat, skim and paint. Obviously in years to come it may need replacing, but you could say that about a lot of bits on a lots of cars.

I hoped that the price would incourage some replies or enquiries. Taking that into account, dependant on what replies i get that price will change accordinglly. Cars are difficult to price untill you know what people are willing to pay, hence the offers asked for.

Hope this helps, im not here to pull the wool over anyones eyes. I would like the car gone to help fund a house move, its a genuine sale and wouldnt be going ahead in different cirumstances.

Ollie.

After some feedback from other members, as well as finding a house me and my partner are interested in, the minis price has now been changed accordingly.

A quick sale would be fantastic, as such, offers around £2000 will all be listened to and responded to swiftly. Deals can also be done with bits off, for example bring your own wheels or leave the seas out etc. I'd rather it all go together but of it will help the sale I'll listen to suggestions.

Would you sell the alleycats separate? I would be interested if so.

Thanks

If I decide to break the car I will let you know.

On the other hand, come with an offer for the whole car and get the wheels included, haha

right guys.

we have found a couple of houses that we would like to put a deposit down on, and as such i need the car gone.

all same details a above, apart from the spot lights have been removed as i have a buyer for these.

new price on the car i £1500 which is more than fair, as i know i need a quick sale.

will be up for this price for a week on here before i gets put up on ebay starting at the same figure to cover selling costs etc.

get in touch if you need any more information, but most is on here

ill be as honest as possible with any enquiries, like i have said previously, this car would be kept in other cirumstances but needs must.

£1500
