Ive thought about it shifty, but to be honest everything from the top of the doors down is getting replaced , so there wouldent be much left to blast! The floor has been plated so many times it would be a waste of time
Im even thinking of removing the roof to check for rust!

It was meant to be modded head.

Don't take this as a criticism......but....

Your falling into a trap that a lot of first time restorers fall into. You're trying to do everything at once. Very soon you'll end up with a totally dissambled car, no space and possibly even feel a bit overwhelmed.

Start on one bit, finish it and then move on. You're also less likely to lose or damage stuff as well.

thanks shifty, while this is my first mini , this is not my first restoration, ive done x2 cars and am on my 4th motorbike.

the engine wont be stripped until im ready to work on it , am saving money for panels , ie full floor and bulk head but as they are not cheap i may as well do things in the mean time while im saving that dont break the bank

Looks good, im following what you do as a template for myself. How much height clearance does your spit give you? Ive got a wooden garage with beams at around 7 feet high.

Upside down i have 31inch from floor to beams

Be careful with them trunnions mate.

Leaving things soaking in vinegar for more than a few days can really weaken them and cause them to fracture.

good idea.

Hope you don't think i am picking holes, but i don't want to see you possibly have trouble down the line with subframes mounts cracking.

I would be interested to see the results actually!

Ben
