Hi guys, sorry if this is in the wrong section but it's a bit of a strange one. I've got a fiber glass flip front on me mini and have just put some side repeaters on her. After cutting them into the front am I gonna need to put resin on the cuts to stop water damaging it?? I know water in my surfboard is not good news so is it the same here?? Cheers for the help

if its a quality item, then no, the resin and fibreglass thats there will be sealed enough. If you can see a "cavity" then it's probably worth sealing it for the minimal effort it takes.

Clear silicon sealer like what plumbers/and double glazing guys use might seal it good.

unfortunatly it wont be any good at all as paint will not adhere to it. nice idea though, would save some pennies too...
