Hello, i have a 72 mini pickup with magic wand gearbox(4 synchros gearbox).My engine is broken so instead of repairing it i am planning to get another refurbished or second hand engine. My problems is that i want to retain the magic wand.

I was wondering, if i get a new engine i can use my magicwand in the new engine gearbox or i have to replace the whole gearbox?

Also, in which engines i can fit my gearbox to? I can fit it in 1275cc metros? Or in newer mini A+ engines?
Because ive found a cheap A+ with verto gearbox and i want to know if i can remove that gearbox and fit mine.

You will have to keep your existing gearbox to retain the magic wand gear change, but any A series engine will  fit with the correct transfer gears, you can even use the pre verto clutch. Guessworks is the man on here to ask.
