Pretty sure i have seen this done.

You can just make a basic frame easily enough but will probably need to have some sort of outrigger that bolts somewhere else up back to stop the car from rocking on the frame.

The same can be done at the front using steering rack mount points. Use the u bolts to fix a piece of tube where the rack goes and then put legs on it.

Would love to see some pictures if you do it.

Ben

You could if there is no subframe fitted, i usually use my ramps with a few pieces of wood then one piece on top which goes across the floor pan

Heres the link to my ramps

Ive had one end of a Toyota Landcruiser on them

Yea the rear subframe is going to be removed I've got the front on similar ramps and two scaff planks on axle stands under the floor pan but the problem is I've got to replace rear subframe mounting points, inner and outer sills so I don't really Wana risk it on the floor pan when I cut out the sills

I made these frames from 30MM box section to bolt onto the front and rear damper mounts. It's not pictured but I also added a brace running from front to rear connecting them.

I've used them on several shells and they've proved to be very handy although I am planning another set with better feet and a direct mounting to the captive damper brackets nut on the front.

I also use the tube on the steering rack mount method from time to time.

Not sure I'd go as far as inspiration, I'm just welding pieces of steel together.

Thanks for the pics that's perfect, just what I was thinking, when I cut inner and outer sills out I take it I should brace the doors but should I brace any where else
