Pretty sure i have seen this done.
You can just make a basic frame easily enough but will probably need to have some sort of outrigger that bolts somewhere else up back to stop the car from rocking on the frame.
The same can be done at the front using steering rack mount points. Use the u bolts to fix a piece of tube where the rack goes and then put legs on it.
Would love to see some pictures if you do it.

I made these frames from 30MM box section to bolt onto the front and rear damper mounts. It's not pictured but I also added a brace running from front to rear connecting them.
I've used them on several shells and they've proved to be very handy although I am planning another set with better feet and a direct mounting to the captive damper brackets nut on the front.
