I have never understood the distaste (hatred even?) for the MINI. After all, it is only a modern retro development of the original, almost certainly better built, safer and with far better performance.
No, it isn't a classic and will probably never become one, but it is a car of its time. BMW got it right, they understood what today's buyers want and the sale numbers reflect that.
As for the four door - not to my taste but then again, I am not in the market for one.
Stop knocking it and be grateful that someone still believes in the concept.
