I have a 1997 mini and the wheel bearing on drivers side has collapsed cannot get it of the shaft so cant get hub of either so looks like new ones got the bearing but cant find a shaft and that can anyone help in locating one? and the other stuff i need i fink the other ones ok for now will get to it asap though

What you need to do is split the driveshaft from the CV, if you cant manage this with the driveshaft in place, then sacrifice the inner pot CV boot and cut it, then withdraw the hub assembly and driveshaft in one unit...

 

Once on the bench you can split the drive shaft from the outer CV, replace the inner CV boot and then work on hub and cv.

How do you take the cv of that sounds easyer then i can just replace the joint and the hub

If i remove everythink on the drive shaft wheel side what will i need hub joint and stub axel?

Update case anyone has same issues in future

Beafing well and truly seized so going to get a hub and fitting and a new cv

I took the drive shaft of the car by dremeling the ring of the diff side layed it on the ground and with the force of 100 men smacked the cv joint of couldent get a good enough wack while on the car so save time and just remove it first
