Hi all, just wondering if anyone has used Surrey rolling road. I'm thinking of having my mini on put on a rolling road and get it set up. There's not a rolling road around Reading that can set up my mini and this one seems to be the closest to me.
Any info much appreciated.

I haven't used them, but Surrey Rolling Road do have a good reputation. They're well known in supercar/high end classic circles.

Brooklands horsepower, aka mini speed are decent. Personally i prefer slark at amesbury though. Both are not a million miles from you.

If Surrey Rolling Road are at Longcross, I have used them before on the TVR's, but they don't (didn't) do tuning and carbs/minis etc.

Try the place in Slough that Geoff-d suggests. Need to prep car first (tappet etc) and borrow some needles just in case.

I went to Slarks at Amesbury a couple of years ago & they were fantastic. Might be worth a try?

Another vote for Slark - although a few years ago now and not a Mini (I'm a Triumph man really) I found Slark to be excellent - gentle enough to no wreck the thing, very knowledgeable and prepared to spend the time to explain things whilst not screwing every last penny out of my wallet. I wouldn't hesitate to go there again even though it's not really "local" - I'm in Reading.

Where ever you go they need to understand two things, the fuel delivery system you have, carbs, EFi, turbo, supercharger etc. and Mini's!

Some RR's specialise in Evo's, Scooby's, GTR's etc., so they might not be conversant with an A series running carbs and a distributor?

I'm looking to get my Mini RR'd soon so will be interested in where you go and how you find them, they do say that a rolling road is only as good as the operator!

BITD I had my A+ RR'd twice, once at a place near the Archway/Highgate in London, and then by Peter Baldwin when he was still at Marshals in Cambridge, he was amazing, he spent about 20 minutes on the car as it was very close and only needed slight adjustments and the rest of the time talking about A series engines, Mini's, Metros and racing etc., he was racing the MG Metro Challenge at the time.
