I have a rare 1275 A+ Series engine from an MG Metro I'm looking to sell.

Looking for buyers in North America, preferably Canada.

It's a runner.

Compatible with any A Series car including all years of classic Mini, Moke, Morris Minor, MG Midget, Wolseley Hornet, and Riley Elf.

It has a rebuilt head, brand new fast road cam and transmission included.

Just a note, it's 72 hp versus standard 1275 A Series 60 hp.

And it can be converted to turbo.

I'm asking $1800 OBO.

More pictures available on request.

I also have a 998 A series for sale with 36,000K on it. Runs great. Looking for $1000 for it.

Contact me via my email, [email protected] or my cell phone at 403 818 3833

Cheers!

Yeah. Over here the A Series is a little harder to come by. And an A+ Metro is next to impossible in the private market.

We aren't as lucky as you Brits, what with parts coming out of every which way! :P

I bought the engine for $1500 from Minimania and put about $1000 into it with the cam and machining to the head and what not.

So really I'm selling it at a $500 loss.

It's really not as outlandish as it seems.

It's quite interesting to see the difference in prices. 998's are more than plentiful over here, so you may find a runner for £100.
These people saying $1000 is too much don't even live in the states, a series engines aren't exactly popular amongst American cars are they

Just realised you may be from Canada. Same bits apply though really

In fact, the Canadian dollar is something like $1.84 to the British pound. That makes $1000 about £540, so it's not exactly a lot of money for a low mileage engine that runs well, won't be long til they're getting rarer over here and we're looking at those prices
