Hey chaps, looking for a little bit of help.

Does anyone know the max thickness of a new pre verto friction disc?

My part worn one wobbles about upto 8mm, the linings are a bit gappy in between the rivets on both sides. Before I go pick up a new one I wondered if this was normal.

Cheers

Well, it's not running true for a start (wobbles like a buckled wheel) and in some places the 'gauge' of the disc is 8mm as a result of the gaps between the friction lining and the centre disc (what the friction lining is riveted to).

So a combination of these issues means that the disc takes up quite a lot of room between the pressure plate and the flywheel, which I reckon is the cause of my clutch binding.

I've never seen another mini friction disc to compare it to, it looks odd to me.

It's the last thing I can think off. No play, or leaks anywhere I've even welded and re drilled all the pivot points etc!

Yup, think I'll order a new un and chuck it in.
