Your engine needs a lambda/o2 sensor in order to determine the amount of unburnt fuel in the exhaust gasses and correct fueling. If you just unplug it you will get a very rough and rich running as the engine essentially goes into limp home mode. Take it out check the wiring and connector and clean the tip of the sensor (will probably be caked) in carb cleaner and reinstall before replacing this as this is a common issue that they are just dirty.

Your temperature sensor I believe also affects engine fueling so if that is also giving an error replace that too, after checking the wiring and connector of course.

Dont wamt to spend money unnecessarily!

Use the diagnostic reader to check the lambda voltage, it should be fluctuating quickly from low to high if working correctly
