The tails are about 30mm plus the ring fitting but because there are four quite thick wires leaving at the same point and need to bend over it pushing the loom out of place to fit where the old one was

Captive nut is normally the multi earth point the starter relay goes on the inner wing much lower, something odd here sounds strange to be so short, how long are the tails of the earth wires coming out the loom ?

Something odd with that loom with everything so short, the Alternator plug looks a bit short ? and the earth tails at 30mm are on the short side, Never seen a Horn where yours is? normally on the slam panel on the drivers side, I would speak to the supplier and explain the shortness of the connections

My horn is on the far left near the subframe which will be relocated to the original position yeah the Alternator plug will never reach and the wires to the solenoid are going to be stretching across the engine bay it seem asif the soleniod should be positioned on the right hand wing rather than under the servo with the wire length anyway

From your pictures it appeared the tails and the alternator plug was spliced in the wrong places, have a word with Simon at Mini Spares it might just be a rogue one off loom, as others here have used those looms without issue. Bit premature to advise not to buy their loom, if it was wide spread we would have heard about it, I'll PM Simon and ask him to read this thread.

Glad your sorted.

Hmm maybe a one off just really annoying had to resplice loads of the wire to the correct location which obviously at £200 a piece isnt ideal

Sure you've got the loom sat right in the car, no excuse about the earth leads but the alternator wires should be from by the starter motor not from over on the right hand wing

Yeah it is sat correctly in the car but there wires that plugged into the solenoid that exited just before the Alternator and the solenoid wires leaving in the wrong place completely by the Alternator and not next to the inner wing.

The loom sent was for an 89 car. The solenoid on an 89 would be mounted on the starter, not the inner wing hence the issue
