How Much To Rebuild You Own Gearbox ?

hey guys i was wondering if people knew how much it would cost to rebuild a gearbox , i will be upgrading it including cr sc clubman gears , 4 pin diff , centre pick up pipe but wondered if anyone had a ruff figure just for a general rebuild

x2 ill soon be rebuilding my gearbox when I can find a new engine

I rebuild kit from minispares/ minisport is around 450 if i remember rightly. Plus ontop of that your new SC gears

Thats not a normally rebuild the gear kit will cost you that alone...

mine has cost around 550 in parts including the X pin, no SC gears

Rebuild kits vary in price, not just because of the contents but mainly the quality of products provided.

 

Be wary of cheap kits as the bearings will be unbranded copies of genuine bearings.

I know it isnt your run of the mill rebuild but wonderd how much one was

shop around and compare different shops on their prices. i had a link still got it somewhere where the bearings where a lot cheaper and still a good brand.
