Will 76 Subframe Fit 85 Mini?

got a 76 mini turned out to be more work than i was able to cope with, bought another shell that's in mint cond and wanting to swap all things from one to the other. looking at subframes they look a tad different? mine had 2 bolts on the suspension turret and have send some with a bolt going down the middle?

 

help im lost and getting bored fast!

 

 see top 2 bolts each side as oppose to 1 down the center???

The 2 bolt is an early subby. They changed in 1980 ish??

No, you need the single bolt type

They changed from twin bolt solid mounted subframe to a turret bolt rubber mounted subframe during 1976, which denoted the end of the MK3 and start of the Mk4... Yours must be one of the last mk3's...

 

Also I hope you're not intending on putting the registration from the 1976 mk3 on the 1985 shell... as that would be very naughty and would seriously devalue your mini...

 

Probably worth getting the MK3 shell fixed properly.

ok, so i will find the other type, thanks for the advice also ive gt a logbook for both, cant afford to fix the mk3 was going to be too expensive, its only going to be a weekend toy.

 

would this fit the owner doesent know but sure you guys will, its to fit a 85 mayfair manual

the pic you put up in your first post is a later subframe with the single bolt the subframe on ebay is the same as the pic
