Is there anywhere on the forum where changes are listed by year, when each model came in, when servos were fitted, when the washer bottle was moved to the boot etc?

I've tried the search function, but I've had no luck

The wikipedia entry will have some of it, and there's http://www.miniworld...tory-of-the-min

I suppose we could create one of our own too

It wasn't just the Spi, the post 91 carb cars all had the washer bottle in the boot too. Like the electric auxiliary fan in the inner wing, I think it was introduced on all models that used the mk6 shell.
